Accountancy (BSB)

Our highly ranked Accounting program provides you with the building blocks you'll need to analyze, interpret and communicate financial information. Through our rigorous curriculum, you'll develop skills in critical thinking and problem solving, as well as a foundation of knowledge in management, finance, marketing, business law and technology, while preparing to sit for the CPA exam. You'll also acquire tools and skills for job interviews, resume writing and career management.

Professors here have served as accounting executives, chief financial officers, controllers and internal auditors for major corporations, bringing a wealth of real-world experiences into the classroom. They're committed to teaching you the fundamentals of accounting theory - leading to the practice of accounting.

DePaul is located in the heart of Chicago's financial and business community, giving you access to work with leading accounting and consulting firms. Job placement is strong among our graduates, who join a large alumni network that reaches to the top ranks of public accounting firms, corporations, non-profits, educational institutions and government agencies.

We also offer a combined bachelor's/master's degree program in Accountancy, which allows you to complete a bachelor's degree and a graduate degree in five years, earn 150 semester hours for the CPA exam and gain valuable skills in forensic accounting, internal auditing and accounting information systems.
