As part of the School of Hospitality Leadership's undergraduate degree program, students are required to complete a milestone prior to graduation. This milestone represents knowledge that is important for a career in hospitality leadership that is not delivered through standard academic coursework. The milestone does not earn academic credit and has no DePaul tuition charges.
HSP 1: Hospitality Business Etiquette
In this course, students will learn the appropriate behavior of an industry professional in a business social or business dining environment. This skill is important for successful business interaction. Instructional sessions are used to convey expected behaviors in professional settings, culminating in a formal business dinner where students can practice learned skills.
- HSP 1 is a required, non-credit course that meets twice during the first half of the term.
- Attendance to all sessions is mandatory in order to pass the course.
