Biography

​Daniel P. Strunk is a business professional with over 40 years of experience in marketing, sales, customer relationship and category management .

In his career he's been a line manager, consultant, educator and author. He has been instrumental in the success of many of America's leading companies, including Procter & Gamble, Converse, Ocean Spray Cranberries, John Deere, The Quaker Oats Co., RJR, NBC, Wrigley and ConAgra Foods. 

Strunk has been an executive in residence and a full-time faculty member at DePaul since 2000. He served as the founding director of the Center for Sales Leadership at DePaul, a program dedicated to producing the next generation of sales professionals.  He directed the development of DePaul's marketing program category management track of three aligned courses, which prepare students for careers in consumer packaged goods in both sales and category management capacities.  Strunk also has taught internationally in DePaul's graduate programs at the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance, and in the Helsinki School of Economics and The Pan Asia Institute in Taiwan.  He has been instrumental in the development of the Category Management Association's certification program, and serves as the chair of the association's Higher Education Board.
