Biography

Lori Cook teaches various undergraduate and MBA classes in operations and strategic management, which are areas of expertise she has developed throughout her career. She has received multiple teaching awards, including the DePaul College of Business Excellence in Teaching Award and the Gus Economos Distinguished Teaching Award. The undergraduate and graduate level courses she regularly teaches include principles of operations management, management strategy, quality management systems, project management, and strategic analysis for competing globally.

Cook has presented at national and international conferences and has published in a variety of academic journals, including the Journal of Operations Management, Health Services Research, Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education, Journal of Management Education, Quality Management Journal and The Journal of Supply Chain Management.

Throughout her career, Cook has provided management consulting support via project-oriented work and training for a vast array of organizations and educational institutions. In addition, she has held engineering positions with both Armco Eastern Steel Division and Kentucky Fried Chicken Corp.
