Luke Chicoine joined DePaul University as an Assistant Professor of Economics in 2012. His main research interest is in the field of development economics, with a focus on health and human capital in Sub-Saharan Africa. Luke is also a research affiliate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). His work has been published in the Journal of Development Economics, and he is a recipient of DePaul's University Research Council Competitive Research Grant.
Luke received his bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Washington in 2007. He earned both a master's and a PhD in Economics from University of Notre Dame in 2009 and 2012, respectively.
He teaches courses on Principles of Microeconomics, Development Economics and Introduction to Econometrics.
