About the Institute
Founded with a
$2.6 million gift from Dr. Curtis J. and Mrs. Gina Crawford, the institute is a hub for transformative leadership education at the intersection of business and technology.
In partnership with DePaul's
Driehaus College of Business and
Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media, we:
· Equip students with leadership training, mentoring, and career-focused learning experiences.
· Spur cutting-edge research through faculty-led grants and professional development opportunities.
· Strengthen the bridge from academia to industry through hands-on projects and networking.
Our goal: to empower students to achieve their ambitions and to thrive as ethical, innovative leaders.

Crawford Scholars Program
Open to Driehaus and Jarvis students, this three year-long program offers scholarships, mentorship, and hands-on leadership training for future business technology leaders.

Meet the Crawfords
The Crawford Institute was founded with a generous, $2.6 million gift from Dr. Curtis J. and Mrs. Gina Crawford.
Dr. Curtis J. Crawford
Dr. Crawford made his name as a leader at the cutting edge of business technology. He has served as CEO of multiple public, private, and startup semiconductor technology companies. Today, he draws on his decades of leadership experience as the founder, president, and CEO of XCEO, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in leadership and corporate governance. A proud DePaul MBA alumnus ('78), Dr. Crawford received an honorary doctorate in 1999 and served on the university's Board of Trustees.
