Our recruiting professionals are thinking about your career, even when you’re not. Our mission at the DePaul Kellstadt Career Management Center is to bring students, employers and alumni together to build a large network of information and opportunities. This network benefits the entire Chicago business community—and our students—by matching the right candidates to the right jobs. We invite you to meet our staff and explore our services.
Jessica Gagle works with current students and alumni of Kellstadt in order to provide support for career navigation. She believes in meeting each student where he or she is on their professional journey, and assisting them in the creation of an achievable career plan. She encourages students to explore all the opportunities the business school can offer, and looks for ways to act as a connector to enable them to effectively develop their network.
She earned a bachelor's degree in history from Ohio University and an MEd in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago. She worked in corporate sales and marketing for Aon prior to completing her master’s and joining the staff at Loyola. Kim Cheney meets with current students and alumni to discuss career options and professional development topics. She enjoys discussing current business trends in the market and how individuals may position themselves to best capitalize on those.
Prior to DePaul, Cheney worked with students at Northwestern and Roosevelt. She holds a BS in business marketing and sociology from Westminster College and a master’s degree in higher education and policy from Northwestern University.
Emily Komendera enjoys working with Kellstadt students and alumni in one-on-one career counseling appointments. She tailors her coaching strategy by taking each individual’s unique circumstances, values and strengths into account. She provides encouragement as well as tangible next steps to assist those she works with in reaching their goals, and enjoys working with students to identify their strengths and how to effectively articulate them to their target employers.
Komendera earned her BA from the University of Michigan in psychology and communications and her MA in counseling from Oakland University. She previously worked in career services at the University of Michigan and Roosevelt University.
