The Collegiate Real Estate Conference provides students with the opportunity to engage with real estate professionals who represent multiple disciplines in the industry. This conference is not a career fair; instead, the goal of the program is to expose students to the many career options that are available to them as students in real estate so that they can make informed career choices. To do this, we structure the conference so that students interact with established professionals in a number of ways:
- Round-table lunch: One industry specialist acts as a host at each table of eight-to-nine students.
- Breakout sessions: Students choose three breakout panel sessions out of seven to attend over the course of the afternoon. Each session represents a different branch of the real estate industry. Panels typically have five-to-seven industry representatives.
Panel discussion topics include:
- Brokerage
- Corporate real estate
- Development/project management
- Finance and valuation
- Property/asset management
- Real estate investment trusts/institutional investment
Networking Reception: Students can socialize with real estate experts in a relaxed environment and engage in one-on-one conversations with established professionals.
