Biography

Maria Alejandra Curiel is an instructor in the Department of Marketing at the Driehaus College of Business. While teaching at DePaul, Curiel serves as a full-time marketing professional driving growth and innovation for leading consumer brands in both national and international markets. Curiel's approach to teaching focuses on bringing branding concepts to life, utilizing real experiential use-cases in the current business environment and analyzing their impact on future brand performance.

Curiel’s marketing experience goes back 15-plus years working with some of the world's most recognized brands, including Kraft Mac & Cheese, L’Oreal Paris, P&G, Wrigley, Whirlpool and Reynolds Kitchen, among others. During her professional tenure, she has built brands from the ground up, launching multi-million dollar brands, filling pipelines of innovation and creating strategies for existing brands. Additionally, Curiel has extensive experience leading advertising across traditional media and digital channels and consumer research.
