Terri Lonier is an innovation expert who works at the intersection of design, business and technology. She advises smart, creative leaders who want to bring innovative ideas to life — faster, more efficiently, and with greater impact and results. She has served as a trusted advisor to executives at Apple, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Bosch, Visa and other global firms. From 2012 to 2015, Lonier served as executive director of DePaul’s Coleman Entrepreneurship Center, and later as dean at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Lonier teaches the MBA New Ventures/Startup class as well as courses in creativity and innovation. Her current research focuses on the overlooked dimensions of innovation, and the tension between problem-solving and problem-finding for entrepreneurial firms.
