Diane Kuhlmann is the director of the Master of Science in Taxation Program and clinical professor in the School of Accountancy & MIS at DePaul University. She received her PhD in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota in 2013. Her other graduate degrees include an MBT (Masters of Business Taxation) and an MBA, both from the University of Minnesota. She previously was director of tax training at RSM. Earlier in her career she worked as a tax accountant at Deloitte and RSM.
Kuhlmann teaches Tax Treatment of Individuals and Property; Tax Treatment of Corporations and Partnerships; and Comparative Tax Systems. In addition, she serves as the faculty liaison with the online Master of Science in Taxation programs. Her research focuses primarily on the areas of structuring the curriculum to develop tax expertise. She has been published in the Tax Advisor.
