He has also worked within companies as a Vice-President of Internal Audit, responsible for the establishment of internal controls and ensuring compliance with the COSO integrated framework and regulatory requirements. He has been responsible for the implementation of data analytics technology to increase the capabilities of identifying potential errors or fraud that would not be identified with more traditional audit procedures. Edward brings a combination of fundamental academic knowledge and practical experience to the classroom.

Edward has presented to delegations from Chinese municipal governments on U.S. audit methodologies and to Chinese business executives on the underlying market economic conditions that create differences in financial reporting in the U.S. and China.
