Geva is an international marketing, branding and advertising professional as well as an accomplished lecturer, speaker and author.

At Ogilvy & Mather, Geva worked as design head and creative director in Johannesburg, Los Angeles and Chicago. Later he was with Leo Burnett and Frankel & Co. (now ARC Worldwide). Other professional marketing positions include: vice president executive, creative director at Kragie/Newell (now Integer) Des Moines, and vice president creative director at Gage Marketing in Minneapolis. He currently runs Ilan Geva & Friends, a branding consultancy in Chicago.

Some of his most recognized work includ brands such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Visa, Ford Trucks, The Chicago Tribune, SA Breweries, Panasonic, Nestle, American Express, Unilever, VW-Audi, Kodak, HP, Seagram, Shell, Sears, Citibank and many more.

Geva has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and a Master of Arts from DePaul University in Chicago. He also graduated from the Damelin College of Marketing in Johannesburg with a diploma in marketing management.

He teaches branding and consumer behavior at the Graham School University of Chicago, and advertising, branding, consumer behavior and creativity in advertising at DePaul University. He taught introduction to design at the School of Hospitality Management at Kendall College, and integrated marketing communications, interactive advertising and international advertising at Columbia College Chicago. He's also taught advertising courses at Roosevelt University, Loyola University Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Geva judges some of the most prestigious industry award competitions in the U.S. and abroad. He also conducts seminars, training sessions on branding, and other marketing topics for advertising agencies, trade associations and educational institutions.
