Biography

Irena Ziolkowska is an adjunct professor of economics in the Driehaus College of Business. Ziolkowska received her PhD from the University of Lodz, Poland where she taught economics. Ziolkowska has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience, and has been published in numerous publications. Her areas of expertise are research and development, technological change and innovation.

Ziolkowska received the Polish Academy of Science Award as well as the President's University of Lodz Award. She is a member of the American Economic Association and served as a mentor for the Polish Students Association.

Ziolkowska currently teaches courses in principles of microeconomics, macroeconomics and money and banking.
