Biography

John Hug has taught graduate and undergraduate accounting at DePaul since 2011.  Previously he was an adjunct faculty member at Dominican University (1995–2010) and the Keller Graduate School of Management (1979-1986),  where he taught accounting, finance and strategic management.

Hug's professional experience includes KPMG (1970–1995), alternating between assurance and management consulting. Among his roles were: partner in charge of the middle-market practice for the Chicago office; partner in charge of the Schaumburg office; and partner in charge of the Chicago office strategic services consulting practice.

From 1995 to 2011 he was chief financial officer of a chemical corporation specializing in manufacture, repacking and distribution of water treatment chemicals. He also is chief financial officer of a real estate investment firm based in Chicago.
