Biography
Kari Costello is the assistant vice president of global engagement at DePaul University and an instructor at the Driehaus College of Business. Throughout her career, Costello has worked in various leadership roles, specializing in organizational development, strategic planning and operations management. In her current role, Costello oversees the departments of Study Abroad, International Admission, International Student Services and the English Language Academy.
Costello also serves on two faculty committees involved in advancing the university’s internationalization efforts. She has more than 20 years of global leadership experience in both public and private organizations within the telecommunications, workforce development, consulting and higher education industries. She spent four years working and studying overseas in Poland, Czech Republic and Russia, including two years as an English language instructor for the United States Peace Corps.
Costello currently teaches courses in the Departments of Management & Entrepreneurship and Marketing, on topics such as organizational development, creativity and business innovation, and marketing research. Her research interests include university internationalization efforts, human capital development, strategic planning and intercultural management.
