Program Expectations

​​​​​​​​​​​Student Commitment

As a condition of acceptance, each student is required to sign an honor pledge to commit to the activities (including attendance and timely completion) of the Keeley Center Academy. The team at the Keeley Center for Financial Services — Executive Director/Program Director Martin Essenburg, Academic Director Lamont Black and Program Manager Ana Ramos — will be responsible for organizing these events and monitoring student engagement. 

Key expectations for students in the Academy include:

  • Completing a finance major by taking the expected and recommended accounting and finance courses that align with the student's chosen career focus
  • Attending all academy events (training, networking, career development, applicable Meet the Firm events, soft skill development, technical/vocational training, etc.)

  • Satisfactory and timely completion of all tasks assigned. These tasks include certifications, licenses and competitions, as well as academy-related event planning, public relations and communications initiatives, and student engagement and recruitment activities.

  • As applicable: obtaining a related financial services internship and/or full-time employment (program director to confirm qualification)

  • Maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0​ (both overall and within the finance major) at all times
