You must submit transcripts from all degree-granting institutions, including those attended but from which no credit was earned. Exceptions may be permitted for study-abroad credit when that credit is clearly defined and displayed on the home institution transcript.

If you have non-U.S. educational credentials, you are required to submit your official education credentials (e.g., transcripts, mark sheets, degree certificates, graduation diplomas) and evaluation fee directly to one of the four evaluation companies below:

• Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.
• Educational Perspectives
• One Earth International Credential Evaluation
• World Educational Services (WES)

You should ask your chosen evaluation company to send a course-by-course credit evaluation directly to DePaul. These companies will provide DePaul with a detailed evaluation of academic credit and certified copies of international educational credentials, which will be used during admission review to determine degree requirements. We do not accept document-by-document credit evaluations.

Please note: Other evaluators may be considered with the permission of the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, but, because evaluation techniques vary by company, we ask that applicants use our preferred vendors to avoid potential errors and loss of credit in the course placement process when degree requirements are set.

Please direct any questions about required credentials to the evaluation company you have selected and not to the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

If you are a non-native English speaker who has not completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the United States, you should submit scores from a recognized English proficiency test. The Kellstadt Graduate School of Business accepts results from TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo and PTE. The admission committee looks closely at the results of the English proficiency exams.

The minimum scores for direct admission are a TOEFL score of 80 (ibt) with all section scores at 17 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5, or a Duolingo English Test score of 115 and above, or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 53. If your English proficiency scores are below the minimum requirements, you may be considered for conditional admission. Test scores are valid for two years and are official only when received directly from the testing vendor.

Exception: Students whose undergraduate and/or secondary education (for all years of secondary/high school) took place in one of the countries below are exempt from the English proficiency requirement. Students born in one of these countries, yet were educated elsewhere for secondary education, are required to satisfy the English proficiency requirement.

U.S., Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada (English speaking provinces), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Fiji, Ghana, Grenada, Guam, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Leeward Islands, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Solomon Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, United Kingdom (including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Vanuatu, and Windward Islands.

If you have a strong overall academic record but you cannot demonstrate the necessary English proficiency, you may apply for admission to the combined Kellstadt Graduate School of Business/English Language Academy (KGSB/ELA) Program. Such applicants admitted to the combined KGSB/ELA Program will begin their studies in the English Language Academy (ELA) for language improvement while conditionally admitted to the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (KGSB). All such students must successfully complete the ELA’s University Bridge Certificate prior to enrollment in Kellstadt classes.​

You must submit the non-refundable $75 application fee. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) coupons are not acceptable. Payment cannot be waived or deferred.
