Jin Choi is an Associate Professor of Economics at DePaul University who loves to teach such subjects as Money and Banking, Wealth Building, and Applied Quantitative Analysis. He received the 2007 QIC Excellence in Teaching Award from DePaul University.
Jin also has keen research interests in financial markets and derivatives trading. His work has been published in the Journal of Economic Asymmetries, the Journal of Global Financial Markets and the Journal of Futures Markets. He also published 3 books on financial crisis, business statistics and personal wealth building; and 2 co-edited books along with numerous trade journal or newspaper articles.
Jin is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Asymmetries and active in various academic and professional associations. He worked at the Chicago Board of Trade as Economist and served the Illinois Economics Association as its President and a $500 million community bank in the Chicago area as a member of its Board of Directors.
Jin received his bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa and the Master of Science degree and PhD in Economics from Iowa State University.
