Biography
Cynthia Forgie is an instructor in the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at the Driehaus College of Business. She was previously a faculty member at the University of Southern Indiana and served as a lecturer at the University of Louisville and Kansas State University.
Forgie is currently an operations research systems analyst and the Experimentation Analysis Branch chief for the Army Futures Command Maneuver Battle Lab. She provides senior level analytical support for live, virtual and constructive experimentation projects in support of Army science and technology research, prototype development and acquisition processes. She also has more than 10 years of experience as a mathematician statistician with the U.S. Army Operational Test Command and five years of experience as an industrial engineer with the U.S. Navy manufacturing base. During this timeframe she developed and implemented the Total Quality Leadership Initiative, Comprehensive Approach to Pollution Prevention, Business Improvement Program, Automated Information Security and Occupational Safety and Health programs.
Forgie received the 2021 Daniel Seiden Adjunct Teaching Award from the Driehaus College of Business. She also received the Louis D. Brandeis Scholarship Award, and was recognized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers for scholastic achievement at the University of Louisville. She is active in community service and was awarded the Order of St. Joan D Arc and the Dr. Mary E. Walker Award for volunteer work.
