College of Business > About > From the Dean
Since becoming dean of the Driehaus College of Business, I’ve been impressed by our college’s commitment to delivering a personalized and holistic education to our students. For more than 100 years, the Driehaus College of Business has been graduating students who go on to make a positive impact in the business world and in our society. The following distinctive qualities make our college the ideal place to study business:
The Driehaus College of Business has a longstanding reputation of connecting theory with practice. Supported by our
Advisory Council of business leaders, we work closely with the business community to provide experiential learning opportunities, internships, mentoring and more. Our location in the heart of Chicago ensures our students receive valuable hands-on experience in a variety of business disciplines.
The one constant in business is change. That’s why we regularly update our curriculum to equip students with skills employers are seeking. From our
bachelor’s programs to the
master’s to our professional development certificates and
doctoral programs, we engage students early on in their careers, help students grow and expand their networks, all while building their analytical skills, critical thinking skills and communication skills. We also offer multiple course modalities to meet students’ demanding schedules.
Guided by our Vincentian values, our college serves many first-generation students. We also work actively with corporate and nonprofit partners to support a diverse student population that helps strengthen the pipeline of diverse talent. Whether it’s through
corporate scholarship programs or
hosting boot camps for students from underrepresented communities, the Driehaus College of Business is dedicated to creating opportunities for all of our students.
