Joe Veverka is a strategy, innovation and analytics professional at Microsoft with deep experience in marketing, advertising, planning, analytics and program management. Veverka earned an MBA and a Master of Science in Marketing at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and graduated with distinction.
Veverka started his career at Microsoft as an analytical lead, spearheading the largest portfolio of top advertisers in strategic sales of $450 million. In his role, Ververka helped top global brands via complex analytical capabilities and frameworks to drive innovative paid search strategies. He then transitioned to a senior program management role to broaden impact across the Microsoft advertising platform, which played an instrumental role in generating mutual value for clients.
Ververka received nine awards in his five years at Microsoft, ranging from excellence in sales partnership, crafting insightful consumer analytics to successful program management of high-profile large-scope events. Veverka is a champion of culture, and has been recognized for leading multiple initiatives via deep cross-function collaboration, coaching, mentorship and proliferation of inclusive behavior. Most recently, Veverka was recognized as part of “MSA Top Team” for his advertising work during the recent global pandemic via marketing and analytics partnerships.
Prior to Microsoft, Veverka held various creative and digital positions over 13 years that encompassed user experience (UX) mobile platform design and usability, search engine marketing and paid search, search engine optimization, social media advertising, streaming video and audio, and emerging and traditional media supporting various sales motions.
At DePaul, Veverka teaches Mobile Marketing in partnership with Jackie Kuehl and Steve Kelly as part of the digital marketing concentration at the Driehaus College of Business.
