Biography

Joseph Kosinski is an instructor for the Department of Finance & Real Estate ​at DePaul University. He is dedicated to helping his students meet their personal and professional objectives. Kosinski designed and teaches FIN 250: Professional Behavior and Communication Development courses.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Kosinski is chair of the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) Corporate Advisory Board and provides advice for the last five ALPFA presidents and board of directors. He is also a DePaul Finance Advisory Board member and chair of the academic programs sub-committee. In this role, he advises DePaul's Department of Finance and participates in the faculty curriculum committee. Kosinski also volunteers as a classroom facilitator for the Junior Achievement of Chicago and is a member of the Diversity Advisory Council for the Illinois CPA Society where he serves with a Diversity and Inclusion all-star board to advise on diversity and inclusion matters.

Kosinski is a retired director of corporate manufacturing accounting and customs and trade compliance after 34 years with Abbott. In addition to recruiting financial talent for Abbott, he directed corporate functions of manufacturing accounting, regulatory finance, customs and trade policy and compliance. He also created and led Abbott’s master data management function using SAP ECC6, an enterprise resource planning software, and led the committee on global finance learning and development.​
