Biography
Kirsten Fanning is an award-winning professor recognized for both teaching and research. She teaches financial and managerial accounting in both undergraduate and graduate programs. She earned her PhD in accounting with a minor in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Before joining DePaul, she was a faculty member at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Villanova University. Her research uses experimental methods to examine how the presentation of accounting information influences investors' and managers' judgments and decisions, and has been published in leading journals including The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Accounting Horizons, Behavioral Research in Accounting, and the Journal of Financial Reporting.
