Biography
Laura Pincus Hartman is a professor emerita and former Vincent de Paul Professor at DePaul. During her tenure she taught management classes at the business college, focusing on ethical decision-making. She also served as associate vice president for Academic Affairs, acting vice president for Life-Long Learning and Suburban Campuses, special assistant to the president, Senior Wicklander Fellow and director of the Institute for Business & Professional Ethics.
She has received the university's Excellence in Teaching Award, Spirit of DePaul Award, Woman of Spirit Award, Public Service Award and the College Outstanding Service Award, as well as numerous university competitive research grants. She is the founder, executive director and board chair of l’Ecole de Choix (School of Choice), a unique trilingual grammar school and afterschool program in Haiti that seeks to address poverty through education.
