Biography
Warren Ginsberg teaches both graduate and undergraduate Auditing and Financial Reporting courses at DePaul University.
Ginsberg has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, primarily in auditing. He started at Coopers & Lybrand, where he specialized in audits of manufacturing concerns, commodities brokerage houses and merger, and acquisition activity. He served as an instructor at the firm’s National Training School. Ginsberg then worked for medium-sized CPA firms as a technical reviewer and consultant to clients, especially regarding internal accounting controls. His specialties included manufacturing, real estate, healthcare and employee benefit plans.
For the next decade, Ginsberg worked at a local government agency in the budget and internal audit areas.
At DePaul, Ginsberg is extremely effective in relating his public accounting client experiences to course materials. He enjoys the challenge of helping students master accounting and auditing concepts. Ginsberg also teaches at other Chicago area colleges and universities.
