Biography

Christopher Mills brings extensive professional and academic experience to his role as a lecturer at DePaul University. His career began in public accounting at Deloitte in Chicago before transitioning to analyst roles at government agencies in Washington, D.C. He later spent eight years in federal law enforcement in New York City, where he applied his expertise in accounting to investigative work, further specializing in forensic accounting.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Christopher has served as an adjunct faculty member at institutions including William & Mary, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Pace University, most often teaching principles of financial accounting and forensic accounting. A Spanish speaker with a minor in Spanish from Loyola University, he brings a global perspective to his work and remains passionate about language and literature. Christopher is dedicated to helping students connect classroom concepts to real-world applications in accounting and beyond.​
