Biography

Dave Franckowiak is a CFO helping companies in ownership transition including preparing for sale, in a sale process or post-close activities and integration. As CFO and Strategic Advisory Board member, he led sale process of a family-owned business to private equity including selection of investment banker, development of CIM and management presentation, data room, sell-side quality of earnings diligence, forecasting, buyer diligence, close and post-close transition. As corporate controller, Franckowiak led sell-side financial diligence for sale process by auction and add-on acquisition diligence and integration of several companies.

Franckowiak started his career in audit at PricewaterhouseCoopers and then held senior financial executive roles in private equity backed middle market companies. He is currently an independent CFO helping companies on a project basis. Franckowiak has been an instructor for accounting and business courses for over 20 years. He currently teaches BUS 101 - Introduction To Driehaus: Business Fundamentals And The Entrepreneurial Mindset. Franckowiak also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Ledger & Quill, the donor society of the School of Accountancy & MIS.​​
