Ivana Zilic's research interests include corporate social responsibility, performance management and hospitality management.

Zilic teaches courses in management, human resources, service operations management, innovation and creativity in business, career management skills and managing human capital to undergraduate, MBA and executive students. Her work has been published in the Business and Society Review, Journal of Communication Management, Journal of Economics and Business Research, Journal of Economic Literature, Global Business & Economics Anthology, Journal of Theory and Practice of Hotel Industry, among other journals. She serves as a reviewer of the International Journal of Business Excellence as well as the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Zilic has presented her work at numerous conferences, meetings and symposiums including the Academy of Management, Eastern Academy of Management, Society for Business Ethics, AAA Annual Meeting and other scientific and professional organizations.

Zilic received DePaul QM Star Award for Excellence in Online Course Design from DePaul.

Prior to joining DePaul’s business faculty Zilic taught management and hospitality for 12 years at the University of Applied Sciences in Croatia, where she received an Award of Excellence for her exceptional contribution, and where she also served as associate dean of business. During her time there, Zilic worked on implementing the Travelife CSR model and on entrepreneurship education projects sponsored by the European Union.
