Ivana Zilic's research interests include corporate social responsibility, performance management and hospitality management.
Zilic teaches courses in management, human resources, service operations management, organizational behavior, career management skills and managing human capital at the graduate and undergraduate level. Her work has been published in the Journal of Economics and Business Research, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Communication Management, Global Business & Economics Anthology, Journal of Theory and Practice of Hotel Industry, among other journals. She serves as a reviewer of the International Journal of Business Excellence as well as the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Zilic has presented her work at numerous conferences, meetings and symposiums, including the Academy of Management, Eastern Academy of Management, the Society for Business Ethics, AAA Annual Meeting and other scientific and professional organizations.
Prior to joining DePaul’s business faculty in 2015, Zilic taught management and hospitality for 12 years at the University of Applied Sciences in Croatia, where she received an Award of Excellence for her exceptional contribution, and where she also served as associate dean of
business. During her time there, Zilic worked on implementing Travelife CSR model and on
entrepreneurship education projects sponsored by the European Union.
