Biography
J. Jobu Babin is an applied behavioral economist specializing in primary data collection methods, game theory, and experiments. One area of expertise includes natural language processing/text analytics. He currently serves as a faculty member at DePaul University teaching Business Analytics and is the lead economist for the Behavioral Economics and Organization Research Group (BEORG). Babin previously held a tenured and endowed professorship at another institution, leading their MS economics, MBA, and business analytics programs.
Babin has authored studies on the behavior of agents with social preferences, types of "attractiveness bias," and how decision-makers interact with genAI. He has published work in the Journal of Economics Behavior and Organization, Journal of Economic Psychology, Economics of Education Review, and Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, amongst other outlets, and is a professional member of the American Economic Association, American Statistical Association, American Psychological Association, and Economic Science Association.
