Biography 

Jill Zimorski is an adjunct instructor in the School of Hospitality Leadership in the Driehaus College of Business. She has spent more than 15 years working as a Sommelier & Wine Director across the country, notably as Wine Director for Chef José Andrés ThinkFoodGroup in Washington, D.C. and most recently as Wine Director for Three Michelin Star Alinea/The Alinea Group in Chicago. After leaving the restaurant floor, Jill spent nearly seven years working on behalf of Moët Hennnessy USA in a trade facing, education focused role. Jill teaches WSET courses to trade and consumers with The American Wine School in Chicago and consults with restaurants and private clients on beverage management, wine sales, service and education.

Jill is a graduate of the University of Virginia, holds a Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, is a French Wine Scholar and has a diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Edinburgh Whisky Academy. ​Jill is also a Master Sommelier (one of 279 in the world, and one of only 31 women in the world) having passed the rigorous three-part exam in 2018. ​
