Jin Choi is an associate professor of economics at DePaul University and teaches courses in money and banking, managerial economics and applied quantitative analysis.
Professor Choi has research interests in financial economics, wealth building and derivatives trading. His work has been published in the Journal of Economic Asymmetries, the International Journal of Applied Economics and Econometrics, and the Journal of Futures Markets. He has published 4 books on financial crisis, business statistics and personal wealth building and edited 2 books on financial crisis and its global impacts.
Professor Choi is currently an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Asymmetries and is active in various academic and professional associations. He worked at the Chicago Board of Trade as an economist, served on the Illinois Economics Association as its president and was a member of the board of directors for a community bank in the Chicago area.
