Biography

Kyle Matthiesen is an entrepreneur living in Chicago. In 2018, after obtaining his MS in Information Systems from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, he joined a Fortune 300 financial services provider as a Project Manager. In this role, he led the development of internal web applications and analytics reporting systems, primarily working with platforms such as Tableau and Service Now.

Kyle left his corporate role in December of 2020 to work full-time on running the business he founded while he was still a college student, Black Box Record Club – an e-commerce monthly subscription service that sends out vinyl records to music lovers throughout the country.

Kyle is passionate about using his experience in technology development and entrepreneurship to help others build career paths in areas they are interested in. 2024 will be his first year as an adjunct instructor at DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business.
