Biography
Liliana Fargo is an instructor in the economics department at the Driehaus College of Business. Fargo was a director of economic analysis at the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Development in Mexico City, visiting scholar at the Central Bank of Mexico, as well as external adviser on Pension Reform for the Mexican Institute for Social Security (IMSS) and the Inter-American Center for Social Security Studies (CIESS). Fargo's main areas of professional interest are macroeconomics and public policy.
Fargo teaches courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and money and banking.
Dr. Fargo is currently facilitating the course Business 103 - Business for the Common Good - at the Driehaus College of Business. This seminar course explores how businesses can be a part of the solution to address critical social and environmental issues, both on a global and local scale.
Prof. Fargo has also facilitated courses in Managerial Economics at DePaul’s School of Continuous and Professional Studies, as well as MBA courses as Associate Professor at other top international educational institutions.
