​Biography

Lyndsey Zhang is a management and organization researcher. Her research encompasses interdisciplinary topics, including the perceptions and decision-making of board directors and top managers, strategic ambiguity, sensemaking, shareholder engagement, social entrepreneurship, and qualitative research methods. Zhang's research papers were presented at the 2024 and 2025 US and European AOM conferences. Her Routledge book on Chinese corporate governance (2023) is being translated into Chinese and Vietnamese and will be published in these two countries in the coming years. She serves as a regular peer reviewer of the European Management Review (EMR) journal and an advisory board member of the Institute for Business and Professional Ethics (IBPE) at DePaul University.

Zhang is currently teaching financial accounting courses at DePaul University. She brings frontline corporate experiences, working for US- and Asia-based multinational companies as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Strategy, and Board Director, into her teaching and research. Passionate about being an educator and researcher, she is highly motivated to bridge academic knowledge and practitioners' problem-solving. Before joining DePaul University, she taught courses on corporate governance, sustainability, and renewable energy project financing as a guest lecturer at the Sustainable Finance Institute (New Haven) and the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (Chicago). She also organized corporate training sessions on various topics, including post-acquisition finance and EPR system integration, as well as operational project budgeting and accounting.
