Biography
Marcos Barrozo is an assistant professor in the department of economics at the Driehaus College of Business. He is an economist who does research in the fields of environmental economics, industrial organization, and international trade.
Barrozo's recent research has focused on deforestation, its impact on climate change, and the role that commodity supply chains play in shaping where agricultural production takes place. He uses a combination of large datasets and economic models to study these supply chains, with a focus on the developing world. His research aims to inform debates on how we can produce enough food while limiting our carbon emissions.
