Biography
Matthew T. Stern is an Assistant Professor in the School of Accountancy & MIS at DePaul. He received his PhD in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016. He primarily teaches accounting information systems as well as introductory financial accounting. His research focuses on the intersection of psychology and accounting, with an emphasis on the decision making of jurors and nonprofessional investors. He also researches the impact of information recognition on employee effort. He has published research in Contemporary Accounting Research.
