Self-efficacy and consumer control of retail and service situations; decision processes and risk taking in consumption; goal orientation and attainment strategies; compulsive and impulsive behaviors; social responsibility of firms and customers.

Biography

Melissa Markley joined DePaul’s business faculty in 2008. She has coauthored articles that have been published in the Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, and Journal of Business Research, among other journals.

Her industry experience includes work as a senior research analyst for The Martec Group, Inc., a global strategic marketing research firm.
