Molly Mercer is a professor in the School of Accountancy and MIS, where she currently teaches financial accounting to undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to joining DePaul in 2009, she served on the faculties of Emory University and Arizona State University. Mercer has received several awards for teaching excellence, including the QIC Excellence in Teaching Award at DePaul.
Mercer is also an award-winning scholar whose research has been published in academic outlets including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting & Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting Horizons, Management Science and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory. Her research explores psychological influences on the behaviors of various parties in the financial reporting process.
