Biography

Steven Greenbaum is the president and owner of Senior Housing Group LLC, a Chicago-based company focused on preserving affordable housing for low-income seniors around the country.

Greenbaum has been involved in commercial real estate since 1993. Prior to turning his focus to preserving affordable senior housing, he was a commercial real estate attorney, a commercial real estate finance officer and a principal with owner-side real estate investment companies, including his own SG Realty LLC. Greenbaum also owns SG Investment LLC, a company that invests capital in ventures that are outside of the affordable housing field, some of which are real estate related and some of which are not.

Greenbaum currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago/Jewish United Fund and on the National Council of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Greenbaum is a sustaining member and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA), a national organization representing major participants in the affordable multi-family rental housing industry.
