Biography

Tara-Ann Dugan is a consumer insights executive and an adjunct instructor in the Department of Marketing at the Driehaus College of Business. Dugan joined the faculty at DePaul teaching principles of marketing and marketing research. She also works full time with expertise in leading efforts to unlock consumer attitudes, needs, and behaviors that enable opportunities in marketing strategy as well as product and experience innovation. Her industry experience spans retail, CPG, food service, and tech at some of the world’s most well-known brands.

Dugan earned her doctorate of business administration (DBA) at DePaul University. As an academic practitioner, her research interests focus on the impact of firm behaviors on consumer trust and perceptions. Additional areas of interest include brand activism, social responsibility, and behavioral decision making.

In 2022, Dugan had the honor of delivering the commencement speech to DePaul University’s 123rd graduating class of the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Dugan has also served the DePaul community as a member of the DBA advisory council.
