Biography
Yanchao Yang is a clinical instructor in the Department of Economics at the Driehaus College of Business. Yang received her PhD in economics from the University of California, Riverside. She has experience teaching all levels of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and development economics.
Yang’s research interests include health economics, public policy and applied econometrics. Her projects typically involve analyzing the impact of public health policies on infant health as well as application of machine learning methods in economics. Her solid theoretical economics background and experience in analyzing complex big data have helped her enrich her classroom teaching in an effective and productive way.
