Karim Pakravan is an adjunct professor in the economics department in the Driehaus College of Business. Prior to this position, Pakravan taught for eight years in the department of finance as a visiting associate professor. He came to DePaul after a 25-year career in international banking. Pakravan has taught a wide range of courses in both the economics and finance disciplines.
Pakravan's area of expertise is in global banking focusing on financial markets, foreign exchange research and international risk management. He serves as a chief economist and member of the Investment Committee of Advocacy Investing fund and is the author of numerous publications.
