Biography
Karim Pakravan is an instructor in the Department of Economics and previously taught for eight years as a visiting associate professor in the Department of Finance. He came to DePaul after a 25-year career in international banking. He has taught a wide range of courses in economics and finance.
Pakravan's expertise is in global banking, focusing on financial markets, as well as foreign exchange research and international risk management. He is the author of numerous publications. Outside of academia, Pakravan serves as chief economist and a member of the investment committee of the Advocacy Investing fund.
