Accelerate Your Leadership Development

The William E. Hay Leadership Accelerator is a comprehensive, co-curricular leadership development experience open to DePaul juniors and seniors of all majors.

As a Hay Scholar, you’ll gain valuable workplace skills, enhance your professionalism and prepare yourself to become an effective, ethical leader.

You’ll build your professional networks and long-lasting friendships as you progress through the program over the course of an academic year with a cohort of classmates that share your passion for leadership.

The Hay Leadership Accelerator offers you the opportunity to:

  • Earn a scholarship of $2,500 and certificate in leadership
  • Develop your professional effectiveness and essential leadership skills through a blend of in-person workshops, guided self-reflections and experiential exercises
  • Learn from real-world experts at exclusive guest-speaker events and visits to Chicago-based organizations
  • Get workforce-ready through job interview skills exercises, resume reviews, professional networking opportunities and more

How to apply

Apply n​ow for your opportunity to join the Hay Leadership Accelerator cohort, which runs from September through May. Space is limited, so apply as soon as possible before the application deadline of April 5.

Please note that the scholarship program requires in-person attendance over the course of the entire academic year. If you are planning to graduate early or study abroad for one of the three quarters, we do not recommend you apply.​​​
