The John L. Keeley Jr. Center for Financial Services hosts multiple events and programs that enhance educational experiences for our students. We encourage alumni, friends and members of the business community to participate in our efforts toward preparing students to lead rewarding careers. Learn more about how you can get involved below.

Classroom Speaking

The Keeley Center offers several opportunities for industry partners to speak to students about career paths and different roles in financial services. Classroom speaking engagements can be in the form of a formal speaker series or event, an informal format with an individual speaker sharing their experiences with students, or serving as a panelist.

Speaking engagements are often followed by an optional networking session with students. Other classroom opportunities include delivering a portion of a co-curricular learning experience as an industry content specialist.

Professional Mentorship

One of the primary goals of the Keeley Center and Academy is to provide students with rich and robust professional development and learning opportunities. We invite our industry partners to participate as mentors in individual mentoring sessions, mock interview workshops where professionals interview and provide constructive feedback directly to Keeley Academy Scholars who are working on securing formal internships, and as industry partner opportunities with finance student organizations.

Internship and Career Placement

Industry partnerships help place Keeley Scholar candidates into meaningful part-time roles and formal internships. Upon students’ successful completion of their formal internship, many of these opportunities often convert into full-time career placement in the financial services sector, such as commercial banking, corporate banking, capital markets, investment banking, investment management, equity research, consulting, valuation and more.
