Coleman Entrepreneurship Center Events and Programs

We work to strengthen our ties to the community through socially impactful programs that give students the chance to learn from entrepreneurs in the vibrant Chicago ecosystem.

    Open to all DePaul students, alumni and community members, the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center's Mentorship Program matches you with an expert that can help improve your business and expand your network.

    The Coleman Entrepreneurship Center's Internship Program provides DePaul undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to work closely with founders on specific projects at an entrepreneurial venture.

    Social Impact Incubator Program

    Do you have a business with a social impact mission? Join the CEC's Social Impact Incubator Program. Scale and grow your business while working with entrepreneurs and experts during a eight-week boot camp on the DePaul Loop campus.

  • Purpose Pitch Competition

    Purpose Pitch Competition

    Every year, the Purpose Pitch Competition highlights purpose-driven startups founded by DePaul students and alumni. Judges select winners by determining which company has a clear and innovative business model for serving the greater good.

  • Hackathon Challenge

    Hackathon Challenge

    The virtual Coleman Entrepreneurship Center Hackathon gives graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to create solutions to real problems facing an entrepreneur. Selected winners are awarded with scholarship money.

University Pitch Madness
The annual event brings together student entrepreneurs from universities throughout the U.S. Student founders pitch their business ideas in front of a live audience and panel of judges for a chance to win thousands of dollars in prize money. Startup Clinic
Held once per quarter, the Startup Clinic aims to connect students, alumni and community members with entrepreneur clinicians specializing in startup stages of launch and growth.

Startup 101 with Bruce Leech
Have an idea for a business? Already have a business? Bruce Leech, CEC executive director, leads this ongoing workshop and shares his views on what it takes to start and sustain a business.

CEC Innovation Expo
This annual expo, held in February, recognizes selected DePaul students’ creativity, originality and ability to solve problems and discover new opportunities. During the expo, students showcase their new business ideas in front of an audience, which provides feedback and questions. All DePaul undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply.

Venture Crawl
Tour incubator partners, meet with successful startup founders, and learn about the many resources available throughout Chicago's entrepreneurial ecosystem. This event takes place in March.
