Professor and Chair, Anthony LoSasso, is the recipient of the 2025 ASHEcon Distinguished Service Award. 

The ASHEcon Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual whose service contributions have impacted the field of health economics in a significant and positive way on a national scale.

LoSasso served as the Executive Director of the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon) from 2012 to 2019, a period marked by significant organizational growth and development. Under his leadership, ASHEcon experienced a notable increase in membership, reflecting the expanding influence and reach within the field of health economics. He also transitioned the biennial conference to an annual meeting format, which enhanced opportunities for scholarly exchange, collaboration, and visibility for researchers. In addition, LoSasso played a pivotal role in the founding of The American Journal of Health Economics, that provided a dedicated platform for rigorous research and discourse in the field.

Professor LoSasso will be honored at the upcoming 14th annual ASHEcon conference, which will take place at the Grand Hyatt Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee, from June 22 to June 25, 2025.
