What do you enjoy doing outside of school?
Outside of school, I love to try new foods, read, stay involved in DePaul Females in Finance, and play ping pong with my roommates.
Why did you choose to major in economics?
When I was in high school, I took an international relations class that covered game theory. I really enjoyed thinking about competition and strategy in such a focused way and was interested in digging deeper.
What has been your favorite economics class so far?
It’s a tie! Undergraduate Business Strategy (ECO 398) with Aaron Pagel has been one of my favorite classes so far because it was the first time my love for economics and my interest in assessing company decisions and actions clicked together. Another favorite is Introduction to Econometrics (ECO 375) with Brian Phelan which taught me how satisfying solving a complex and ambiguous problem with math could be.
What kind of job do you hope to get after graduation?
I would like to get a job in economic or management consulting.
Have you had an internship?
Yes, I have had a few internships. Most recently, I have interned at Blueprint, a real estate advisory firm, and at Mercer, a human resources consulting firm.
What do you hope to achieve as a student ambassador?
I would like to help create an environment where students can explore topics and careers within economics and ultimately discover what they’re passionate about.
Why did you choose DePaul?
One thing I really like about DePaul is that it has a small school feel which allows you to get to know your classmates and professors while at the same time being in a city full of diversity and opportunity.
