In addition to the required core courses, students in the Flexible MBA program have nine electives (36 credit hours) they can use to take courses in a specific area of interest. These electives are typically used by students to select one or more concentrations in the area(s) that offer the knowledge, skills, and abilities that best fit the student’s educational needs and interests. Students with an undergraduate degree in a business subject area may have fewer required electives.
Students in the Evening Cohort MBA program have nine required electives (36 credit hours) that offer knowledge in the areas of Management as well as Economics, Finance and Marketing.
In addition to the required core courses, students in the Full-time Cohort MBA program will have seven electives (28 credit hours). Two of the required electives (MGT 584 and MGT 598) will be dedicated to a Vincentian service project. The five remaining electives can be used to take courses in a specific area of concentration or interest that offer the knowledge, skills, and abilities that best fit the student’s educational needs and interests.
Core Courses may be waived, i.e., excused without additional course work required, if the student has previously completed equivalent course work with a grade of C or better. Professional experience may not be considered in meeting academic requirements. The interpretation, evaluation and final decision of course waivers are the prerogative of the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
If a student does not indicate a specific concentration of interest in the application for admission, the student will be assigned to the Custom MBA concentration.
