Hospitality Leadership Study Abroad Programs

As a future leader in hospitality, you'll benefit from the international experience from studying abroad. The School of Hospitality Leadership offers a wide range of short and long-term opportunities and is currently developing programs on a global scale.

Explore Study Abroad Programs

Spend two weeks in the summer exploring the tourism industry throughout France and Switerland and compare and contrast customer behavior trends and tourism operations in Europe and the U.S. You'll spend one week in Paris, concentrating on the infrastructure of transportation, attractions management, food and beverage, and tourism opportunities for visitors.

During the Switzerland leg of the program, you'll spend a week learning about lodging, regional transportation, the role of sports in tourism, and the cultural influences of national groups on the tourist experience.

Learn the ins and outs of the hospitality industry in Florence, Italy, a European center of art, history and culture. You'll spend fall quarter at Florence University of the Arts (FUA) taking major and minor courses.

FUA is a modern, innovative institution that stresses experiential learning designed for international students. The Apicius International School of Hospitality is FUA’s first, largest, and academically strongest school. Its students run both a pastry shop and a full restaurant open to the public in Florence.

The SwissStudyPlus Program (SwissStudy+) is a study and internship experience designed specifically for students in the School of Hospitality Leadership.

DePaul partners with César Ritz Colleges Switzerland (CRCS), an international hotel and business management school with three campuses throughout the country, on a program that will help you gain international experience.

As part of the program, you'll choose to study in Switzerland for either one or two three-month quarters with the option of following up two quarters at CRCS with a six-month paid internship in the lodging or food service industry.

The December study program explores Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau You'll see a variety of different aspects of the international hospitality industry through first-hand experience and study.

The 10-day program explores hospitality from the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore to the casinos of Macau and the bustling rich city of Hong Kong.
